Lead poisioning and infants...?

Lead poisoning is most often a cronic risk, and is not dangerous if exposed to a small amount (such as a few chips of lead paint or chewing on a toy with lead paint). If the toy has lead paint in it, you should get rid of it, but there is virtually no danger from a small exposure like that. If you are really worried, your niece's doctor can test her for lead levels.
