If I were to patch one of my eyes, would it use the opposite brain hemisphere more?

I have a scar right across the cornea of my right eye, which gives me about 20/200 vision (looks like if you were to open your eyes underwater, they blurry effect). Recently have taken a great interest in psychology and working my brain to become smarter, such as playing games on Lumoisty, doing riddles, solving problems ect. I read some things about what each hemisphere, left & right control, and it is clear that the strengths in my left side out weigh the right side by quite a bit. If I were to patch my left eye and work my only my right eye while doing math problems? or possibly anything ytical, verbal, or logical exercise would it directly effect my left hemisphere? Increasing my ability on those subjects?
