Can my 2 month old breath in vicks vapor steam?

I don't mean the kind that goes on the skin, I know he's too young for that, even the baby formula. But, I was wondering if anyone knows if it is safe for him to sleep in the room with vicks vapor steam in the humidifier. He is so extremely congested, I need to do something for the little guy. Any suggestions?
